2027 Beekeeping Class registration is now open! Class size is limited to 25 registrants.
The Ashland Beekeepers Association will be holding their spring Beginning Class for 2027 starting in late February into March. The course will run for four Saturdays from 9 a.m. to approximately 4 p.m. The first three Saturdays -- February 27, March 6 & 13 will be held at First Baptist Church in Ashland, Virginia. The fourth and final class on March 20 will be held at Winn's Baptist Church in nearby Elmont area. The class is part of the Virginia Beekeeping Teaching Consortium, which developed a standardized curriculum for clubs throughout Virginia. Beekeeping takes a serious effort in order to be successful and this class is designed to provide a strong foundation.
One additional family member of the same household may attend with no additional fee however only 1 set of materials will be provided. Minors (below 18) should be at least 12 and accompanied by a paying adult. Note: Lunch is not provided, so plan to bring your own, or pick something up during the hour lunch break.
Tuition: $120. Includes 2 books, a USB thumb drive with all presentations plus additional reference documents, and membership to the Ashland Beekeepers for 2027. If you are already an Ashland Beekeepers' member, please let us know when you register.
When you register, Do NOT increase the count if a second family member will be attending with you; if you do, it will double the fee.
If you do not wish to use on-line registration, please send an email to class@ashlandvabeekeepers.org and we will provide you with a registration form you can mail in. Or come to any regular meeting prior to the class and register there.

Refund Policy:
A refund in available if we receive notification at least one day prior to start of class. If notified after classes have started, but purchaser has not attended any class, any refund will be up to the discretion of the ABA. No refunds if any session has been attended.
